“ Over the years, we have hosted a number of great Film and TV location shoots at Eastnor, including the BBC’s Little Lord Fauntleroy, Madonna’s W.E, ITV’s Red or Black and Fox TV’s Amazing Race. Numerous photographic fashion shoots have also taken place here – from Country Life to Loaded magazine! We can offer really spectacular and unique locations on this 5000-acre estate and despite the very rural location, we are also very conveniently located only one hour from Birmingham, Cardiff and Bristol. We love hosting filming and photo shoots and warmly welcome all enquiries. ”

David Littlewood, General Manager

Architectural History

Eastnor Castle was built in 1812 and although Norman in style, is strictly a Georgian building. With round turrets and castellated terraces, the castle is most people’s idea of a fairytale castle, built to look like a traditional Welsh border fortress. Eastnor is however very much a family home, with lavish and ornate interiors which contrast dramatically with the imposing exterior. The castle also sits dramatically on the edge of the Malvern Hills, overlooking a large lake, arboretum and deer park.

Architectural Features

Imposing castle exterior with round turrets, a central Keep and castellated terracing. Built in Forest of Dean stone, the castle is in excellent structural order throughout. Inside, a 60’ high Great Hall with two large fireplaces, a flagstone floor and decorated with medieval armour. This room leads to other large entertaining rooms, including a Gothic Drawing Room designed by Pugin and considered to be one of his most complete rooms anywhere in the UK and a large Italianate style Library with walnut bookcases. A staircase hall adorned with tapestries lead to eleven luxurious bedrooms, which are available to hire by private and corporate groups

Eastnor Castle is situated in hilly terrain, in the foothills of the Malverns, with lakes, woodland, quarries and glorious unspoilt parkland. Because Eastnor is also the home of Land Rover Experience, there are over 30 miles of off-road driving tracks in the estate woods, plus lakes, barns, redundant farms and cottages, stables, cricket field and a Church.
This is a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, in a truly rural setting, but only 5 minutes from the market town of Ledbury and 30-minutes from Gloucester, Hereford and Worcester. Birmingham International Airport is exactly one hour away. We also have a helicopter landing site on the estate.
